Jason McClellan is a Phoenix-based podcaster, author, and TV personality who has spent nearly 20 years researching, writing about, and reporting on UFOs and other strange topics.
Jason had the unique experience of working professionally for more than 6 years as a full-time UFO researcher and journalist, and as a co-organizer and technical producer of the largest annual UFO conference in the world (recognized by Guinness World Records in 2015). As a founding member of the UFO news organization Open Minds, he wrote for and edited the now-defunct Open Minds magazine — an internationally distributed print publication devoted to UFOs and extraterrestrial life. He also worked for Tom DeLonge’s transmedia company To The Stars.
In 2016, his book Only Weirdos See UFOs: An Introduction to the Public’s Misperception of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and Extraterrestrial Life was released.
Jason co-starred on the TRVL/Discovery+ mini-series Roswell: The Final Verdict. He also co-starred on History’s Hangar 1: The UFO Files, and he’s appeared on a variety of other networks, including Syfy, NatGeo, the CW, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. Media outlets around the world have featured and highlighted Jason’s work, including the Huffington Post, Geek magazine, and Tech Times. He’s also delivered lectures/presentations at pop culture conventions and other conferences around the United States.
